Jakarta Biennale 2015 brought the theme of " Maju Kena, Mundur Kena: Bertindak Sekarang! "Maju Kena, Mundur Kena is one of the film's title, played by Indonesian legendary comedy group, Warkop DKI, which was produced in 1983. This exhibition involves 70 artists which consists of 42 Indonesian and 28 overseas artists, curated by 7 curator. For the first time, curator itself headed by international curator, Charles Esche from Scotland who collaborated with 6 Indonesian curators.
There are 3 major issues that relate the exhibition and projects in Jakarta Biennale 2015. Firstly, water is one of the major issues, which is still an issue that has not been solved in Indonesia. Next, there is history. The last issue is gender, which includes the topic of gender identity and gender roles in society and then some.

The exhibition will be open from November, 15th 2015 until January, 17th 2016. It takes place in the Sarinah Warehouse, Jalan Pancoran Timur 2 No. 4, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Jakarta City, Indonesia.
